Blimes & Gab Talk ‘Magic’, The Band, Challenging Expectations + More!

The swaggiest, most lyrical Aunties you'll ever meet!

I had the opportunity to kick it with B.A.G. otherwise known as Blimes and Gab! The group made up of Seattle’s lyrical-spitta Gifted Gab and the Bay Area’s hard-hitting rapper Blimes Brixton. In promotion of their latest single “Magic” featuring Iamsu, the ladies hit the studio to give me a sneak preview of their work while talking about what’s next! Of course, I had to break the ice with two rounds of the hot seat before talking about growing up in Seattle SODO District and the Bay Area, the overall dynamic of this group and how they smash expectations with everything they do. Before they left, they shared their-then unreleased single “Magic,” promising that the track would be the beginning to a summer full of jams with the release of the groups debut project! Hopefully with everything that is going on, we still get those summer jams – cause we need them, now more than ever! Until then catch some vibes and get familiar with the beautiful, dynamic and hard-hitting ladies of B.A.G. below!
