New Music: Maryann Vasquez Follows Up With “Miscues”
Back like a boomerang with "Miscues"
Back in 2013, we fell in love with Maryann Vasquez and her debut DUE which spawned the addictive single “Turn You Down” and beautiful ballad “Priscilla’s Story”. Since then, the Rhode Island born singer/songwriter seems to be working behind the scenes but we still haven’t forgotten the sweet vulnerabilities from her debut EP. Ending the hiatus with “Boomerang”, Maryann keeps the momentum going with another single titled “Miscues”. “Your mistakes they weigh me down / heavy load almost made drown / I was drowning for you / risked it all trying to see this through,” she croons over the bouncy Marcus Yates production. “Got my issues / think we all do / thats no reason to endure all your miscues,” she continues. Like the previous single, “Miscues” showcases Maryann’s beautiful vocals and overall growth while delivering some more vulnerable truths! “Miscues” along with Boomerang” is the perfect re-introduction to this well-rounded artist! A couple weeks ago, Maryann stopped by #BennettKnowsRadio on Stationhead, explaining how releasing music since her debut EP has been therapeutic in her personal journey! Definitely looking forward to listening to more of Maryann’s experiences through her music! Check out both “Miscues” and the eloquent “Boomerang” video below!
