The Best Moments From The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards!
On Sunday January 26th, the latest and greatest came together to celebrate a year of incredible music. It goes with being said, this years celebration was seldom in the loss of American icon and legend Kobe Bryant. Ironically, this years Grammys were held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles where Kobe played for the LA Lakers for 20 years. The shocking news sent the world into grieving reminding us to love and appreciate our time with one another Lizzo kicked off the show with a powerful performance dedicated to the icon and a handful of artists including host Alicia Keys, Lil Nas X and DJ Khaled who also performed in part of the collaboration and tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle followed suit. In wake of controversy, it seems the Recording Academy played it safe awarding the deserving acts. This years Grammy Awards were swept by 2019 new comers Billie Eilish who received 5 golden trophies, Lizzo who left with 3 and Lil Nas X who left with two. Other winners also included J Cole and 21 Savage who received the award for Best Rap Song on “A lot” and Tyler the Creator who took home the award for Best Rap Album.
