Maryann Vasquez Returns With Smooth Single “Boomerang”

Back in 2013, we fell in love with Maryann Vasquez and her debut DUE which spawned the addictive single “Turn You Down” and beautiful ballad “Priscilla’s Story”. Since then, the Rhode Island born singer/songwriter seems to be working behind the scenes but we still haven’t forgotten the sweet vulnerabilities from her debut EP. Ending the hiatus, Maryann returns like she never left with a brand new single titled “Boomerang”. “Boomerang” is a smooth and sultry track that finds the singer crooning about a relationship that continues to come and go like a boomerang. “My, my look who turned up on this fine night / You wanna make up for lost time / Flung your way back in my life/ like a boomerang in the sky,” she croons over JANDRE and Marcus Yates production. “Cause you don’t stay far away do ya / You won’t stay long with me,” she continues. The track showcases Maryann’s beautiful vocals and overall growth while delivering some more vulnerable truths that we can all relate to. “Boomerang” is the perfect re-introduction to this well-rounded artist!
