Song Of The Day: Tory Lanez – “Jerry Sprunger” ft. T Pain
After revealing the Ashanti-featured album cover of his forthcoming album Chixtape 5 and fifth installment to the Chixtape series, Tory Lanez keeps the momentum going with the T-Pain assisted single “Jerry Sprunger”. The track which sample’s T-Pain’s “I’m Sprung” finds Tory crooning for his lover over a Play Picasso power production. “She used to work at King of Diamonds on a Monday / Only hit the club on Saturday and Sunday / I used to pull up every weekend, shoulda seen her / The way she did it, nobody could do it cleaner,” he croons. Of course T-Pain adds a legendary verse of his own: “Tory took one line and made a hot song / Now the chicks want tapes I am not gone / But it’s been five times, you ain’t catch on / Maybe on the next song,” he adds. When Tory previewed the track for T Pain, he was shocked by the sample. “Hard body! Oh my, someone get CSI Miami on the phone,” he exclaimed in a video posted to Toryz’ Twitter. “Jerry Sprunger” serves as the first single off of Chixtape 5 which will serve nostalgia through sampled R&B tracks that we all love. Personally, I love the T Pain sample and if the rest of the project continues to sound/feel like this, Tory has a massive project on his hands! What do you think? Chixtape 5 is expected to be released this Friday! Check out “Jerry Sprunger” and sound off in the comments below!
