New Music: Kehlani – “Nights Like This” ft. Ty Dolla $ign

Over the weekend our favorite R&B crooner Kehlani released a brand new feel “Nights Like This”. On the track, Baelani finds herself questioning a misleading relationship full of lies. “On some nights like this, shawty, I can’t help but think of us / I’ve been reminiscin’, sippin’, missin’ ya / Can you tell me what’s with all this distant love,” she croons over the self-produced beat. “If I called, would you pick it up / On some nights like this, I just wanna text you, but for what / You gon’ say you want me, then go switch it up,” she continued. The track features a guest verse from Bay area artist Ty Dolla $ign. “Used to promise me you’d never switch on me like Gemini / You think I’m a fool, ain’t nobody stupid / I see all the signs, I see all the clues / Yeah, sometimes I reminisce ’bout that s–t when I’m bingin,” he adds.

In the music video, Kehlani creates a robot that takes over her body and causes mass destruction … a metaphor on the effects of the modern-day relationship. “Nights Like This” serves as Kehlani’s first single of the new year! Currently, the R&B songstress is preparing both new music and motherhood. In addition to giving birth, Kehlani plans on delivering a new mixtape in February with  her sophomore album to follow.
