New MV: Amara La Negra Heats Things Up With Addictive Single “What A Bum Bum”
Amara La Negra Releases Buzz Single "What A Bum Bum"
Amara La Negra quickly became a household name upon the first episode of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Miami. The Afro-Dominicano, who inked a multi-million dollar deal with BMG, caught momentum not only for her unique look and bubbly personality but her resistant fight for equality and colorism in the music industry. On the show, Amara feuds with “light-skinned” trap producer DJ Hollywood after he suggests she should be “more Beyonce and less Macy Gray”. Despite the all the drama and tears shed on the show, the singer has the track record to back it up. After making a name for herself in the Latin Market with hits like “Ayy,” “Se Que Soy,” and “Soy Una Dama,” Amara is looking to break the US Market.
Last week, the singer debuted buzz single “What A Bum Bum” via Tidal. The phenomenal record finds Amara flaunting her goods over a Sister Nancy “Bum Bum” sampled, power-production. “12 o’clock, I’m about to hit the streets up, and the strip looking lit, I’m about to heat up,” she spits. The contagious track delivers the perfect fusion of spanglish (English and Spanish) and good vibes to take over any club this summer. With “What A Bum Bum” serving as the singer’s buzz single, I’m definitely looking forward to more! Plus, anyone who’s willing to flaunt that #BlackGirlMagic is a keeper in my book! Amara La Negra’s lead single “Insecure” is due for release later this year! Until then, check out “What A Bum Bum” below!
