Today Jorja Smith released a silky, smooth ballad titled “Let Me Down”. On the ballad, the English singer/songwriter expresses her vulnerability for her lover. “Sometimes, I wouldn’t mind if I was less important / Would you think about them all the time? / Wonder if you’ll even notice in the morning / So where’d you go when you can’t get to me,” she croons over the Paul Epworth and Ed Thomas production. “But I’ve got you to let me down / I’ve got you to let me down / Only you can understand why / I’ve got you to let me down,” she continues on the chorus. The track features an appearance from UK’s Stormzy. “Don’t go wasting your loving on me / When I see tears, I’m likely to run /So girl, don’t love me, I mean it / When I say I love you, I mean it,” he spits. “Let Me Down” is off of Jorja’s forthcoming debut album JS1 due for release later this year!
