Both Kendrick Lamar and SZA lead an amazing 2017 with the release of their albums DAMN. and CTRL. However, the The Top Dawg Entertainment artists aren’t stopping there! This morning, the duo kicked off the year with a collaboration of their own. “All The Stars”, the first single off of the forthcoming soundtrack Black Panther: The Album, finds Kendrick facing a lover over a smooth power production. “Love, let’s talk about love / Is it anything and everything you hoped for / I get a feeling on you,” he spits. Of course SZA adds to the smooth sound with her sultry vocals. “This may be the night that my dreams might let me know / All the stars are closer, all the stars are closer, all the stars are closer,” she croons.

Earlier this week, Kendrick confirmed that he would be co-producing on the film’s soundtrack alongside Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith. “Marvel Studios’ Black Panther is amazing, from its cast to its director. The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture. I’m truly honored to contribute my knowledge of producing sound and writing music alongside Ryan and Marvel’s vision,” he explained in a statement. It’s wonderful to see so much black excellence on one project! I’m sure the Black Panther will have a major impact upon it’s release on February 16th! Black Panther: The Soundtrack is due for release February 9th! Check out Kendrick Lamar & SZA on “All The Stars” below!
