New MV: The Weeknd Finds Inspiration In ‘Goosebumps’ For “Party Monster”
Happy Friday the 13th!
After making a full transformation with “Starboy” and “False Alarm”, The Weeknd releases the visuals to “Party Monster”. On the track, the R&B crooner takes us to the heart of the party. “I’m good, I’m good, I’m great / Know its been a while, now I’m mixing up the drink / I just need a girl who gon’ really understand / I just need a girl who gon’ really understand,” he croons over the hook. “I’m like, got up, thank the lord for the day / Woke up by a girl, I don’t even know her name,” he continues. The video, directed by BRTHR, catches inspiration from 90s cult-classic series ‘Goosebumps’. Throughout the film we find Abel zipping around in a red car before joining blood-spattered strippers who growl and eat cake. Sounds like a party monster to me! The video comes a day after photos of Abel and Selena Gomez kissing went viral. Puts a totally new meaning to the lyric, “ass like Selena”. “Party Monster”, in addition to “Starboy” and “False Alarm”, are cuts off of The Weeknd’s #1 album Starboy. The project features collaborations with Daft Punk, Kendrick Lamar and Future. The Weeknd sets off on the Starboy: Legend of the Fall World Tour this April in Vancouver, Canada! Always looking forward to new Weeknd! Check him out in “Party Monster” below!
