Besides joining DJ Khaled for his massive collaboration “Do You Mind”, R&B crooner August Alsina has remained relatively quite in 2016. However, the New Orleans singer is back with brand new music for the new year. Last week August released a brand new cut titled “Drugs”. On the moody, bedroom-banger we find August crooning over an addictive physical connection. “I got you on my mind, oh / I got you on my mind / You’re not here and I can’t sleep / I got you on my mind / And I can’t seem to find you nowhere,” he croons over the smooth production.”Cause I can’t get enough of your drugs / So baby, just tell me when you’re ready, oh / Ooh baby, just tell me when you’re ready,” he continues on the chorus. “Drugs” sets the pace for August’s forthcoming third album of the same name. “Sooooo f**king excited to finally be able to release new music!!!! Thank you all for being so patient with me on my journey… I’m so proud to share all of the newness with y’all & spread vibrations of love through the music,” he tweeted. We’re looking forward to new music as well! August Alsina’s follow-up to 2015’s This Thing Called Life is due for release later this year! Check out “Drugs” below!
