New Music: Bruno Mars Follows-Up With “Versace On The Floor”
After making his grand return with “24K Magic”, Bruno Mars releases the follow-up single “Versace On The Floor”. “Versace On The Floor” follows the disco-pop feel of his previous hits but it showcases maturity in content and expertise in sound. “So, baby, let’s just turn down the lights / And close the door / Oooh I love that dress,” he croons over the Shampoo Press & Curl production. “But you won’t need it anymore / No, you won’t need it no more / Let’s just kiss ’til we’re naked, baby,” he continues. “Versace On The Floor” and “24K Magic” are the first cuts off of Mars’ forthcoming album 24K Magic. While fans and critics comment that the follow-up may be the “Uptown Funk 2.0″, I believe that the project will serve some groovy tunes for the older crowds while meeting the mainstream sound Bruno has previously capitalized on. “With this album, I wanted to make a movie,” he said. “A real movie. I told myself, ‘We’re gonna have a screenplay and we’re gonna go to that,” he explained in a recent interview. 24K Magic is due for release November 18th.
