New Music: The Weeknd Returns With “Starboy” ft. Daft Punk

Just a few days after announcing his brand new album, The Weeknd returns to the scene with a brand new single titled “Starboy”. The track, which features Daft Punk, finds Abel boasting about his superstar status and large cash flow. “Let a nigga Brad Pitt / Legend of the fall took the year like a bandit / Buy my ma a crib and a brand new wagon /Now she hit the grocery shop looking lavish,” he sings over the production. “Look what you’ve done/ Im a motherf**king starboy,” he continues. “Starboy” sets the pace for The Weeknd’s forthcoming album of the same name. “I think it’ll be the best-sounding album I’ve ever done,” he told VMAN. “It’s hard to label the sound because, when I first came out, nobody would label it R&B. I just want to keep pushing the envelope without it feeling forced.” Starboy is due for release November 25th. I’m really looking forward to the next chapter for The Weeknd!
