The Game Vs. Meek Mill: What’s The Beef?
Another day, another celebrity beef! This time around we’re diving into the most recent beef between The Game and Meek Mill, who just can’t stay out of trouble for his life. It all started last week (September 16th) when The Game released a new song titled “92 Bars”. On the track, The Game dissed Meek rapping, “And ever since that n***a snitched on me we just don’t speak / See that shit you got with Drake is like a slow leak / Blood’ll be dripping like Niagara if I poke Meek / Nicki won’t get no sleep, I’m coming through at 4 a.m,” he spits over the raw DJ Quick production. “Nigga, you know that I’ll snap you like a toothpick / And snitching on niggas ain’t never been no cool shit / And I’ve been wanting to give Nicki this pool stick / So tell your lil’ vivrant thing come fuck with Q-Tip,” he continues. Not only is the track a hard-hitting diss but a perfect introduction to the rappers forthcoming album 1992.
Later that day we found out why The Game’s fired those shots … it all came down to an alleged jewelry jacking! The Game believes Meek “snitched” and told singer Sean Kingston’s camp that he was directly or indirectly involved in the theft of Kingston’s $300K gold chain. A couple nights before that all three of the entertainers were at a nightclub in Los Angeles when Kingston’s jewelry was stolen. After calling both parties in the need of answers, Kingston ultimately blamed The Game for the robbery.

After going back and forth via social media, The Game uploaded a video to Instagram referencing Sean Kingston and the robbery. The Game calls the singer a “fat ass” and says Sean and Meek Mill spoke to detectives about his involvement in the jewelry jacking. In response, Sean Kingston posted a series of videos calling the Game a host of insults before claiming that his career is “over” and that this beef is only an attempt to boost 1992‘s sales. Meek Mill finally fired shots with a diss-filled, Beanie Sigel-assisted remix to Young M.A.’s “Ooouuu.” “Durk checked you,” Meek raps before Beanie sends out a warning. “Thug sonned you / Fif dropped you / Mac one’d you / Strippers-turned-rappers / Look what we’ve come to / You a fa**ot, my lady would never f**k you,” he continues.
Yesterday The Game responded to Meek and Sigel’s “Ouuu” with a remix of his own. On the track The Game sounds off with insults, internal MMG feuds with Wale and Meek’s previous feud with Drizzy Drake. “All rats gotta die though / In New York, Quad Studios, gettin’ high tho / Off that sour diesel and that hydro / This nigga take an L every time he go viral,” he opens up over Young M.A’s current hit. “Yeah, take Beans back to rehab / On Instagram lookin’ like a mothaf**kin’ bean bag / Flyin’ through Philly on them Wocky sticks / Punk-ass n**ga, I’ll beat you with a hockey stick,” he continues. He aslo continues to diss Sean Kingston on the response. “Sean Kingston got robbed and now you n**gas best friends / Fat sloppy Twinkie eatin’ ass n**ga / You ain’t got no pass, n**ga, I’ma beat your ass, n**ga / Jelly bean smugglin’ f**k ass n**ga,” he spits.
So where do we stand? Who knows? While details relating to the actual robbery are currently unknown, the hip-hop beef feeding off of this controversy is golden (at least from one side). The Game released two healthy diss-tracks! Meek Mill on the other hand needs to step it up! Although he came with heat on his Sigel-assisted diss, The Game is coming with that fire, back to back to back! I don’t understand why Meek can’t stay out of trouble. In the words of 50 Cent, “n**gas shouldn’t throw stones if you live in a glass house / And if you got a glass jaw you should watch your mouth”. This hip-hop beef is far from over!
