ICYMI: Tinashe Needs Some “Company”

It’s been a while since Tinashe leaked a new song. Earlier this year Tinashe caught headlines for her frank relationship with her label RCA Records. During an interview with ET Canada the “2 On” singer explained that it wasn’t her idea to have Chris Brown on her smash “Player”. “He heard the record, he really loved the record and it was really just that simple.” She then leans in and whispers,”It was really the label, it wasn’t me,” she laughed. This confession comes after she blasted the label for focusing all the attention on Zayn Malik’s debut instead of her sophomore project.

However, amongst the mess, the R&B diva continues to spawn out hit after hit. After releasing her current single “Super Love”, the Bay Area singer delivers a new banger titled “Company”. On the track, Tinashe finds herself crooning for some company over a booming electronic production. “I don’t need no problems with nobody / I know how to get that, unfollow me / I just need a moment, f**k and leave / You could say you had it all, no strings,” Tinashe sings on the pre-hook. “I just need some company, company /I just need some company, company,” she continues. Once again, the track is everything we want from the talented singer.

The track precedes cuts like “Player” featuring Chris Brown, “Party Favors” featuring Young Thug and “Energy” featuring Juicy J. Tinashe’s well on her way to a successful sophomore album. In 2015, Tinashe hit the studio with some of the greatest producers: Diplo, DJ Mustard, Hit-Boy, Max Martin, Nic Nac, Travi$ Scott, The-Dream, Dev Hynes and many others.
