New Music: Tove Lo & Wiz Khalifa Are Under The “Influence”

tov-lo-lady-wood-compressedAfter delivering the lead single off of her sophomore album, Tove Lo plugs in Wiz Khalifa for a new single titled “Influence”. On the track, the edgy singer warns a lover to take precaution when she’s under the influence. “You know I’m under the influence / So don’t trust every word I say, I say / When I’m under the influence / It’s a blur, but I want my way, my way,” she croons over the smooth, yet trippy production. Wiz Khalifa tears it up with a verse of his own. “Barely knew what your name is, don’t care who you just came with / Make a move and get famous, get your mission completed / Use the other politic or entertainment,” he spits. Interestingly, the verse comes just in time for a brand new scandal involving Wiz and his ex-wife Amber Rose. “Influence” is a cut off of Tove Lo’s forthcoming sophomore album Lady Wood. I really enjoy Tove’s brand new sound. According to the singer it’s influenced by The Weeknd’s dominant sound. Lady Wood, due October 28th, is the first project following the singer’s vocal chord surgery last year. What do you think? Check out Tove Lo’s “Influence” featuring Wiz Khalifa below!
