New Album: Kanye West Confirms Collaboration With Drake!
After months of speculation, it’s official! Kanye West and Drake are definitely recording an album together! Yeezus confirmed the rumors in a recent interview with Vogue. “We’re just working on music, working on a bunch of music together, just having fun going into the studio,” he explained. “We’re working on an album, so there’s some exciting things coming up soon.” In addition to West’s interview comes a billboard (Drake really love these) that states, “Calabasas is the new Abu Dhabi,” with both the OVO and G.O.O.D. Music emblem at the bottom.
Although the two never collaborated with each other, the duo both appear on Big Sean’s “Blessings”. Of course, the two are no strangers to collaborations. Aside from their own albums and features on others’, they both released massive collaborative projects: West and Jay Z partnered for 2011’s Watch the Throne and last year Drake released the What a Time to be Alive mixtape with Future. For now, Yeezy and Drizzy are touring separately. Drake is on the well-received “Summer Sixteen Tour” with Future, while Kanye is headlining his “Saint Pablo” trek which comes with it’s own suspended platform! You never know what to expect from theses rap Gods! Currently there is no release date for this All-Star collaboration.
