It’s been a while! A couple weeks ago PVD rapper Nino Green released a flaming 5-track EP titled DORO. Nino opens up the project with a hard-hitting track titled “Do Not Disturb” before teaming up with Lunchbagg for “99”. Before revisiting “Alsius”, Nino turns up on a trippy track titled “No Way”. DORO ends with an impressive cover of Blink 182’s 2004 track “I Miss You”. Man! Lets talk about this project! Between the content, flow and production (production by Nino himself that is), this project delivers some hard vibes and a unique feel that this creative is known for! Although the project is just 5 tracks, it’s jsut enough to appreciate while keeping us anticipated for some more!
A couple months ago Nino stopped by #BennettKnowsRadio to discuss his music. “I’m tired of people from the city saying ‘Providence wants to be [this], Providence wants to be [that]. No Providences wants to be Providence,” the humble rapper stated. With songs like “Alsius”, Nino plans to deliver an original sound and feel that represents the city. “Alsius is the latin word for cold. I wanted you to hear the song and feel cold ’cause that’s one of the main feels of the city,” he explained. Although he didn’t disclose much information about what’s to come, Nino assured us that he’s working. Later this summer, Nino will release a collaboration project with Yami Ceasar. “It’s sad, late-night, summer sounds,” he explained. It’s time to get familiar! Nino Green, without a doubt, is another artist that will be making an impact on the PVD culture in 2016! Check out DORO below!
