Is Justin Timberlake’s New Single “Can’t Stop The Feeling” A Hit Or Miss?

Last night Justin Timberlake made his return to music with the new single “Can’t Stop The Feeling”. The single, for the Trolls soundtrack due Sept. 23, is an upbeat, infectious pop tune about having a great time and living your life. “I got that sunshine in my pocket, got that good soul in my feet,” he sings as the bassline hits. “Nothing I can see but you when you dance, dance, dance,” he continues over the Max Martin production. In an accompanying video clip, Timberlake is joined by his Trolls co-stars Gwen Stefani, James Corden, and Anna Kendrick, who all dance and sing along to the song. While I love the radio-friendly pop tune, some fans aren’t happy with the pop legends return. “I guess [I’ll] end up like it since they’ll play it so much,” one fan commented. “I want the real Justin Timberlake. Not this “for a soundtrack JT,” another responded. While this tune is enough to carry us through the summer, JT is reportedly in the studio with Timberland for his The 20/20 Experience follow-up which is scheduled for release during the fourth quarter!
