Big Sean & Jhene Aiko Tease Collaboration Album ‘Twenty88’

After releasing the visuals to her current single “B’s & H’s” and celebrating his 28th birthday, Jhene Aiko and Big Sean team up to form the musical duo Twenty88. Last night’s announcement spawned a social media fury complete with Instagram posts, dating rumors and much more. On Friday, April 1st the duo will release the self-titled album which features production from Key Wane, Detail, and Tommy Brown. According to press release, “TWENTY88 tells the story of the highs and lows of a relationship, with insights into conflict, memories, love, sex, and more.”

 

Along with the announcement comes the album cover which features a close up of each artists face and  two promotional videos. In one clip, the duo sits in the back of a chauffeured car, both rocking furs, while Aiko dons an orange wig. The orange wig also appears on the cover art. I’m extremely excited for this collaboration. Not only does the duo make good music together (ie. “Beware”, “Win Some, Lose Some” and “I Know”) but they are extremely talented and creative on their own. I’m really looking forward to what Twenty 88 is all about! Twenty 88 is due for release April 1st. Until then, check out Big Sean’s “Get My Sh*t Together” below!
