New Music: Tinashe Teams Up With DJ Mustard For “They’re On”

Earlier this week Tinashe caught headlines for her frank relationship with her label RCA Records. During an interview with ET Canada the “2 On” singer explained that it wasn’t her idea to have Chris Brown on her smash “Player”. “He heard the record, he really loved the record and it was really just that simple.” She then leans in and whispers,”It was really the label, it wasn’t me,” she laughed. This confession comes after she blaster the label for focusing all the attention on Zayn Malik’s debut instead of her sophomore project.

However, amongst the mess the R&B diva continues to spawn out hit after hit. Earlier this week another DJ Mustard collaboration titled “They’re On” hit the web. “Busy days restless nights (I see her), Ain’t got no time for sleep (no time for sleep) And I’m gon’ keep this up (keep it up), For at least another week,” she croons over the booming Mustard production. Once again, the track is everything we want from the talented singer.

The track precedes cuts like “Player” featuring Chris Brown, “Party Favors” featuring Young Thug and “Energy” featuring Juicy J. Tinashe’s well on her way to a successful sophomore album. In 2015, Tinashe hit the studio with some of the greatest producers: Diplo, DJ Mustard, Hit-Boy, Max Martin, Nic Nac, Travi$ Scott and Dev Hynes. With that type of production, I’m sure Joyride has more than a few bangers! Looking forward to what Tinashe has up her sleeves! Joyride is due for release any day now!
