With her last single “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” still sitting amongst the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, Meghan Trainor “returns” with the booming lead single off her sophomore albumThank You. On the new track titled “NO” the Grammy Award winner swerves a guy spitting game. “My name is no! My sign is no! My number is no! You need to let it go,” she croons over the nostalgic Destinys Child-esq production. “If I want a man, I’mma get a man / But it’s never my priority,” Meghan proclaims on the assured cut. The sound marks a new era for the doo-wop singer.
In the video, Meghan Trainor coninues to deliver the 90s/early millennial vibes with a nostalgic visuals complete with choreography, hands-on-activity and overall diva-esq moments. With this new single, I’m really looking forward to new music from Meghan Trainor.
