New Music: Michelle Obama Enlists Zendaya, MissyElliott + More For “This Is For My Girls”

Earlier this week Michelle Obama enlisted a handful of ladies for a collaboration track titled “This Is For My Girls”. The track features a handful of artists including Chloe & Halle, Jadagrace, Janelle Monae, Kelly Clarkson, Kelly Rowland, Missy Elliot and Zendeya. “This is for my girls all around the world,” goes the chorus. “Stand up and be heard,” they croon. “This Is For My Girls” is actually in support of Let Girls Learn and the White House’s #62MillionGirls campaign, an initiative to shed light on “62 million girls around the world” who “are denied the right to an education.” Earlier today FLOTUS and Missy Elliott took the campaign to Austin, Texas for the SXSW!
