New Music: Lil Wayne – “Trouble”

After hopping on Zayn’s “Pillow Talk”, Lil Wayne releases a new track of his own titled “Trouble”. Almost a decade ago, back in Tha Carter III days, the then-unfinished track leaked the web leaving fans wanting more. “Trouble” is a smooth Street Runner production that finds Weezy confronting his dark past. Over a soulful, piano-laden instrumental, Tunechi reflects on suicide, drug dealing, and stealing, “Introduced to the game, when I was just a child / Mama love a drug dealer, straight quit her job and took his life, and along with him, I died/ And she died, we died”. The track serves as Lil Wayne’s first release since November’s No Ceilings 2. Now that everything is cool between Wayne and Bird Man, we may finally get that highly anticipated Tha Carter V album!
