After bringing the heat back in 2014 with her DJ Mustard produced single “L.A. Love” featuring YG, Fergie is ready to deliver her much-awaited sophomore album! According toper Women’s Wear Daily, the Black Eyed Peas diva was in Paris last weekend “to shoot the cover and press materials for her long-awaited second solo album,” which, the publication says, is “due in March.” The last time Fergie released a solo-album was The Dutchess back in 2007. Now, if you don’t remember that, The Dutchess was poppin’! Fergie’s debut, solo-album spawned five smash hit singles including “Clumsy”, “Fergielicous”, “Glamorous” ft. Ludacris, “London Bridges” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry”. She described her comeback album as “a modern version” of her 2006 debut The Dutchess.
“I went on two tours with the Peas, since my last solo album, all over the world,” Fergie told Gulf News last year. “And, you know, dove into the electro scene, but coming from hip-hop-pop origins, and bringing some of my love of rock and reggae. So very much a cornucopia of music. It’s the 2015 version of me.” she continued. Since then, Fergie has hit the studios with big names Mike Will Made-It, Rae Sremmurd, Nicki Minaj, YG, DJ Mustard, Charlie Puth and many others! I’m really looking forward to new music from Fergie! Not only is she really talented but she’s cooler than ever! What do you think? Sound off in the comment box below!
