Why Kanye West Received A Golden Ticket From The ‘American Idol’ Judges

In 2016, I’m putting the pressure on Kanye West. Yesterday, I wrote an article on Kanye West and why I thought his latest track “Facts” was a failure. Today and throughout 2016, I’m going to continue to review Yeezus’ work until he releases his highly anticipated album. Yesterday, Kanye West’s full ‘American Idol’ audition hit the web. In the video, Kanye West introduces himself to the auditions. “My name is Kanye West I’m from the Southside of Chicago… Always wanted to rap and nobody really believed in me,” he explains to judges Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr., and Keith Urban.  “I’m not nervous ’cause I do really believe in him,” his girlfriend, Kim Kardashian told Ryan Seacrest outside the audition room. Kanye went on to perform his 2005 original “Gold Digger” to which the judges awarded Kanye with a golden ticket to Hollywood. A heart-felt, meaningful original. Obviously the audition was a publicity stunt for all of the parties involved but while I watched, all I could think was this is the Kanye West we need in 2016! If Kanye were to perform his latest track “Facts” for the judges, he may have been escorted outside to his wife who believed in him. Seriously though … we need good music from Kanye West this year!
