New Music: YBS – “When I Think Of You” ft. Phreddy J.B.

Yesterday hip-hop duo Y.B.S. released their anticipated EP Carmen. Earlier this year, the duo stopped by #BennettKnowsRadio with current single “When I Think Of You” which sets the pace of the entire project. “When I think of you, my day seems to get better! When I think of you I want to see you smile forever! When I think of you, no girl could ever measure,” featured artists Phreddy J.B. croons over the DJ Mustard reminiscent production. Although “When I Think Of You” sounds like a modern-day club banger, do not be fooled. The well produced, 5-track EP features a smooth sound reminiscent of late 90’s/early millennial R&B music. Y.B.S describes Carmen as “a project creates a soulful aura, while providing a melodic storyline with thought provoking lyrics. Carmen is an abstract, an idea of that female counterpart one experiences in their lives. From beginning to end, each song guides and sets the mood to anyone’s situations.” It’s time to get familiar!
