Nicki Minaj Talks Miley Cyrus, Meek Mill Vs. Drake + More!

nytm-nicki-coverThere’s no denying the power of Nicki Minaj! This week, the “world’s biggest female hip-hop star” covered the prestigious New York Times Magazine with a pop-art inspired shoot. However, the cover of the magazine isn’t what is catching headlines as the content inside! Before the writer ended the explosive interviewer with the superstar, Nicki Minaj weighed in on her beef with Miley Cyrus, Meek Mill and Drake’s controversial feud, body image and much more. During the MTV Video Music Awards back in August, Nicki Minaj verbally attacked Miley Cyrus for talking down on her in a recent interview with New York Times. While many viewers asked if the “beef” was real, Nicki Minaj explains why she was so disappointed in Miley,

“The fact that you feel upset about me speaking on something that affects black women makes me feel like you have some big balls. You’re in videos with black men, and you’re bringing out black women on your stages, but you don’t want to know how black women feel about something that’s so important? Come on, you can’t want the good without the bad. If you want to enjoy our culture and our lifestyle, bond with us, dance with us, have fun with us, twerk with us, rap with us, then you should also want to know what affects us, what is bothering us, what we feel is unfair to us. You shouldn’t not want to know that,” she explained upon the “Wrecking Ball” singer.

While her beef with Miley Cyrus was short lived (for now), another feud that has greatly affected her is the heated one between boyfriend Meek Mill and label mate Drake.

“They’re men, grown-ass men. It’s between them,” she said, adding, “I hate it. It doesn’t make me feel good. You don’t ever want to choose sides between people you love. It’s ridiculous. I just want it to be over,” she expressed.

According to Rick Ross, Meek Mill has an amazing album under his sleeves, but that’s another story. Nicki Minaj also weighed in on body image, comparisons to Lady Gaga, her relationship status and much more! Currently Nicki Minaj is collaborating with ABC family to produce a comedy on her life! Let’s talk about power! You can read Nicki Minaj’s full New York Times interview here!
