Special Guest Blog: Olivia King Covers Fifth Harmony’s I’m In Love With A Monster”

After covering Calvin Harris and Disciples’ “How Deep Is Your Love”, Olivia King teams up to cover Fifth Harmony’s current hit “I’m In Love With A Monster”. I am so excited to announce the release of my next YouTube cover video! Since the last video release, I have learned that my fan base isn’t quite the age I thought they were. Believe it or not, I am trying to hit the younger market now with my music. At my last show, I had an amazing response from the younger kids in the crowd, especially the little girls. I have decided with this next video to tailor it to those ten year old girls that had such a great reaction at my last show!

This video is my cover to Fifth Harmony’s “I’m in Love with a Monster.” The second this song came on my Pandora radio, I instantly fell in love with it! This song has a funky, old school, upbeat vibe that caught my ear. I decided to make this video a little more interesting by having two polar opposite looks. In one of the shots I have my mom’s wedding dress on and in the other shot I am wearing a simple black dress. I wanted this video to be a back and forth between me looking like a monster and looking like my innocent self! [Lol] I tried to channel my inner Nicki Minaj to make some crazy, scary faces! I had a lot of fun shooting this video with Director Sam Albert. We actually shot the video in the dining room at my house. We transformed the room to look like something out of a haunted mansion. I went down in my basement and found a bunch of creepy stuff such as my great grandmother’s porcelain doll, a black crow, candles, and old paintings. You will see quick shots of all of the different props we used throughout the video!

I’m so excited to share this fun video with everyone! I really hope my new younger fan base will be into it as this song is featured in the new movie Hotel Transylvania 2. This movie killed it in the box office this past weekend! The movie features amazing actors such as Selena Gomez, Adam Sandler, Kevin James and a bunch of other big name stars as cartoon character monsters! I will definitely be going to see this movie as it is the perfect movie for the Halloween season!”
