One of the most controversial moments in hip-hop took place earlier this year when Meek Mill outed Drake for using a ghostwriter on his most recent work. Drizzy fired back with his highly-praised “Back To Back” which put Meek Mill in a bad place. Things got worse for the Dreams Worth More Than Money rapper released his unsuccessful diss “Wanna Know”. Since then, Drake has been throwing jabs at Meek with continuous disses such as “Charged Up,” and most recently in an interview with Fader Magazine. “I didn’t get how there was no strategy on the opposite end,” he explained. Upon the release of his collaboration album with Future, Meek Mill’s social media feeds have been covered with diamond emojis, a reminder from Drake’s fans that he’s the one winning this so called beef. Amongst all of this Meek Mill says that he’s not affected, promising his fans, if any, that he is working on his follow-up Dreamchasers 4.
Last night Drake seemed to cap off the one-sided feud when his fans starting chanting, “f*ck Meek Mill,” during a performance of “Back To Back”. His response, delivered nonchalance and confidence, giving the crowd exactly what they wanted. “Don’t worry,” he said with the relaxed wave of his arm. “He’s dead already.” At this point, it would be hard to come back. Not only has Meek been put on the back burner but every move he has made since has been looked down upon. As Meek prepares his follow-up with Dreamchasers 4, I’m questioning his comeback! What do you think? Can Meek Mill make his comeback or is Drake right, Meek Mill is dead! Sound off in the comments below!
