New Music: Sia Releases Powerful Single “Alive”

Earlier this week Sia announced that she would be releasing a new single. A day early, the UK songstress returns to the scene with a emotionally moving track titled “Alive”. “I wanted everything I’ve never had! Like the love that comes with life … but I’ll survive! I’m still breathing! I’m alive,” she sings over the soaring, drum-heavy uptempo production. If you’re unfamiliar with Sia, the powerful singer started as a songwriter hence the name of her forthcoming album. “I’m calling it This Is Acting because they are songs I was writing for other people, so I didn’t go into it thinking, ‘This is something I would say.’ It’s more like play-acting.
