Why Did Justin Bieber Cry At The MTV Video Music Awards?

Earlier this week, Justin Bieber made his return to the spotlight with a performance of the summertime hit “Where Are U” and his new single “What Do You Mean?” at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards. Upon completing the performance, the pop star broke down in tears upon the audience’s applause. Last night, Bieber continued to promote the hit single with a stop at “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” where he sat down for an interview and performance. “It was just so overwhelming for me, everything,” said Bieber. “I missed some cues so I was a little disappointed in that and [grateful to] everyone and their support. I just wasn’t expecting them to support me in the way they did. Last time I was at an awards show, I was booed,” he explained.
