New Music: Empire Debuts “No Doubt About It”/”Ain’t About The Money”

Today Columbia Records released two tracks off of the forthcoming Empire Season II soundtrack. The first track, “No Doubt About It”, is an upbeat club track by Jussie Smollet A.K.A. Jamal Lyon featuring rap superstar Pitbull. “Please forgive me if i’m causing you alarm but the DJ just played my favorite song! And you look like you’re ready so c’mon,” Jussie croons. The second track, “Ain’t About The Money”, is a hip-hop collaboration between Jussie and his on-screen brother Yazz A.K.A. Hakeem Lyon. “If you know like I know! It ain’t about the money, it’s about the power,” they spit. Both tracks are smooth and will definitely anticipate fans for the forthcoming season. I think the producers of Empire are geniuses. Not only are they building an empire on-screen but they’re building one in reality! Season 2 of “Empire” premieres Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. EST on FOX.
