Nicki Minaj, Drake & Beyonce Made It POP [Week Review]

From visuals to new releases: this week was an amazing week in music! Taylor Swift kicked off the week with her epic, record-breaking “Bad Blood” which delivered 20.1 million views in 24 hours. Other videos included Meek Mill’s 80-themed “Monster”, Sage The Gemini and Nick Jonas’ “Good Thing”, Snoop Dogg’s futuristic “California Roll” featuring Pharrell and Stevie Wonder, A$AP Rocky’s “LSD”, David Guetta’s “Hey Mama” featuring Nicki Minaj, Nicki Minaj and Beyonce’s Coachella-themed “Feeling Myself” and, once again, Nicki Minaj’s “The Night Is Still Young”. With three releases, Nicki’s Barbz have become unhappy with the ‘Tidal-Only’ video releases, to which she responded with a simple BLOCK. New music included a heated response from Tyga with “Hollywood Niggaz”, Rita Ora’s new single “Poison”, Jason Derulo’s “Broke” ft. Keith Legend and Stevie Wonder, 50 Cent’s “Get Low” featuring Jeremih, 2 Chainz, and T.I., Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga’s highly-anticipated collaboration “Partynauseous” and Trey Songz with remixes such as “Nasty”, “Real Sisters” and “Earned It”. Producers Hit-Boy and Diplo released new music with “Go All Night” featuring Travi$ Scott and “Doctor Pepper” featuring CL, Riff Raff and O.G. Maco respectively. Amongst all of these releases came the heavy-hitting leak with Drake’s “Can I” featuring Beyonce and newcomer Sal Houdini! Overall, great week in music! On Thursday, May 28th, #BennettKnowsRadio will be at the ‘Night Of Winners’ @ the Met in Pawtucket, RI.

P.S. This week Rhode Island lost a truly genuine and very talented individual. Prayers and condolences go out to family, friends and anyone affected! R.I.P. Danny Lopes #SJP
