After debuting the video in Times Square, New York and L.A. Live, California, Kendrick Lamar delivers funk to the rest of the world. In the exciting new visuals for To Pimp A Butterfly track “King Kunta”, K Dot takes us through the streets of his hometown of Compton, California. In one scene he takes his rightful thrown in another he performs for a flock of fans. It’s dope to see how Kendrick Lamar is using his voice for the generations. Earlier this week, the TDE rapper revealed the original title to his #1 album: Tu Pimp a Caterpillar. “That was the original name and they caught it because the abbreviation was Tupac, Tu-P-A-C,” he explained. “Me changing it to Butterfly, I just really wanted to show the brightness of life and the word pimp has so much aggression and that represents several things,” he explained. “For me, it represents using my celebrity for good. Another reason is, not being pimped by the industry through my celebrity” he continued. To Pimp A Butterfly currently spends it’s second week atop the Billboard Top 200!
