Chris Brown -‘X’ [Album Review]
After a over a year of promotion, five amazing singles and a some jail time, Chris Brown releases his sixth studio album X! The album opens up with the title track, “X”, a high-energy, trap-meets-R&B, track that sets the pace for the rest of the album. Before revisiting singles such as “New Flame” featuring Usher & Rick Ross and “Loyal” featuring Lil Wayne & Tyga, Breezy pays homage to Michael Jackson with “Add Me In”. The album features a handful of smooth, R&B ballads for the bedroom! Breezy teams up with Trey Songz to pay homage to R. Kelly with “Songs On 12 Play” before teaming up with Kelly, himself on “Drown In It”. Along with R&B ballads comes a handful of pop tracks such as “Body Shots”, “Love More” featuring Nicki Minaj and “Came To Do” . Other collaborations “Drunk Texting” featuring Jhene Aiko, who brings her vibes to the track, the smooth ballad “Do You Better” ft. Brandy and the album’s heavy-hitter “Autumn Leaves” featuring Kendrick Lamar! Overall, Chris Brown delivers a wide variety of tracks will definitely please all his fans! While critics are slamming the album for having too many collaborations while exploring too many genres, #TeamBreezy and fans alike are going to love this project! Definitely worth the wait! Definitely worth the listen!
