With an album on its way and “Loyal” all over the radio, it’s hard to believe that Chris Brown is actually in jail! Today, Chris’s trial in relation to the Washington D.C. incident was delayed in order to work out issues associated with a testimony from Brown’s bodyguard, who has been convicted of assault for the same incident. Christopher Hollosy, Brown’s security guard, is expected to say that he punched the fan in the face, not Chris. Because testifying can affect Hollosy’s appeal to his conviction, we’re hoping that prosecutors give him immunity because this testimony is vital to the case. “I don’t think that there’s any doubt Chris Brown is not guilty,” Brown’s attorney explained. “[Prosecutors have a] duty to fairly treat a defendant and to extend immunity in certain situations. It’s going to be our argument that this is one of those situations,” he continued. Currently, Chris remains in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service and will be transported to Los Angeles, where he will be held until June 25th for a status hearing. It’s unfortunate to hear that Breezy will be held until after the release of his album. We’re hoping that Hollosy receives immunity so he can testify and end this mess. If Chris is found guilty of assault, he may face up to 4 years in jail! We definitely don’t want that! Chris’ highly anticipated album X is due for release May 5th. With a possible double-album with features including Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, Drake, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Brandy, Kelly Rowland, Lil Wayne and many others, I think it’s safe to say Chris may have the album of the year! Lets keep our fingers crossed #TeamBreezy! Check out Chris in the “Loyal” video below!
