New MV: Katy Perry – “Dark Horse” ft. Juicy J

Last week Katy Perry released the video to her current #1 hit single, “Dark Horse”. In the video, we meet Katy Patra, or the pop-inspired version of Cleopatra, who is on the search for love. Many suitor’s present numerous gifts such as jewelry, food and power to Katy, but As Juicy J raps, “she’s sweet as pie but if you break her heart she turn cold as a freezer”, Katy punishes them if she’s unhappy. At the end of the video, Katy is offered the #1 spot, to which she accepts, causing a “perfect storm”. The music video is full of Egyptian symbolism that correlate with the song’s overall theme of black magic.
