One reason why Rihanna is so successful is her unique and amazing music videos that often push the limits regardless of society’s norm. After seeing a few photos that RiRi posted to her Instagram account, teasing fans with footage of her upcoming video, I predict that the video’s going to get banned. In one photo, Rihanna embodies Marilyn Monroe and in another we see stripper shoes amongst a pile of “Rihanna Dollars”. These photos however aren’t the ones leading me to my prediction. Rihanna also posted pictures of a topless Barbie doll dancing on a stripper pole as well as her extremely shiny butt (which was quickly taken down).
“Pour It Up” is definitely a club banger and I wouldn’t expect anything less from the singer but I’m sure society isn’t going to find the video suitable for daytime television. The “Pour It Up” singer is no stranger to banned music videos. Rihanna’s “S&M” video was quickly banned for it’s overt sexual content, “We Found Love” was banned for depiction of drugs and violence and “Man Down” caught media fire for “promoting” murdering rapist . . . Rihanna’s “Pour It Up” video is expected to drop very soon and we’ll see if my prediction is right but until then, let’s enjoy this bad girl’s video below!
