It seems like Nicki Minaj never stops. This year brought Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday:Roman Reloaded’, the “Pink Friday” fragrance, “American Idol”, E’s “My Truth” and ‘The Re-Up’. In recent interviews, the head Barb discusses ‘The Re-Up” and the direction of her next album. Unlike Minaj’s first two #1 albums, ‘The Re-Up’ didn’t even debut in the top 10 selling 36,000 copies in it’s first week. “It is hard to get the album because the stores basically said that the last few re-releases they had put out did not do well and they didn’t want to take a chance. So, Target and Walmart is not selling the album. Target is actually my biggest retailer — they’ve always been my biggest retailer. They’ve sold the most Nicki Minaj albums ever, so, thank you, Target. But I wish you could’ve sold this one.”, the “Freedom” singer explained. “At the end of the day, I was glad I was able put music out”, she continued. Minaj also discussed the direction of her next album (rumored “Pink Friday: The Pink Print) with FUSE, “a continuation of The Re-Up. I have a lot more to say. Production-wise, I love where The Re-Up is going and I want to continue down that path and I want to add on to that musically.” Recently, I watched a video on Nicki Minaj and if she is losing appeal, discussed by Rap Radar’s Executive Elliot Wilson . . .
