PETA is known to share how they feel about celebrities that rock the furs and skin of animals. This weekend, the organization bashed pop superstars Rihanna and Lady Gaga calling them “freaks” for their “callous and creepy fashion choices”. Firstly, PETA commented on Rihanna’s snake skin boots that she walked out with recently, ” “Rihanna may not have a clue that snakes killed for boots are often nailed to a tree and skinned alive. Of course, they can’t go on Oprah to cry about it,” referring to Rihanna’s latest Oprah interview.
They continued, “Wearing reptile skin is creepy and callous, and it makes her look even more out of touch. She and Lady Gaga seem so desperate to be freaks instead of recognized for their talents that you have to wonder if they realize that they are being laughed at. “These recent photos of you in fox and rabbit and with a wolf carcass make it appear that you have amnesia. What happened? Are your stylists telling you that it’s fake, or are you a turncoat?” referring to Lady Gaga’s choice to not wear animal products.
Rihanna and Gaga are not the first celebrities to be bashed by PETA; Kanye
West, Kim Kardashian and Ke$ha have also faced PETA’s wrath but as Kanye did, “tell PETA my mink is dragging on the floor”, will these pop stars respond?
