Justice for Trayvon Martin

The world has been chanting “Justice for Trayvon Martin” after the 17 year old was shot and killed by George Zimmerman, a neighborhood community watch coordinator for being “suspicious”. The shooting took place on February 26 when Martin, a black teenager who had a sweatshirt hood on was followed by Zimmerman. During confrontation, both Martin and Zimmerman were on the phone with different parties, Martin his girlfriend and Zimmerman the police. During the confrontation, Martin ran away from Zimmerman  even though the police told Zimmerman not to chase Martin. Witnesses then say that they heard one gun shot and seen Zimmerman walk back home. Zimmerman has not been charged with  anything since he claimed it was an act of “self defense” and the also because “lack of evidence” to prove manslaughter . This is where the line needs to be drawn, to what extent is self defense acceptable? Shooting an unarmed teenager because he supposedly looks “suspicious” is unacceptable and Martin and his family and friends deserve justice! Personally, I know this is wrong and it shows how society is today! You can sign a petition to persecute Zimmerman at the link below. See what some celebrities had to say about the case.

Trayvon Martin Petition

When asked about the case Nicki Minaj responded:

“It’s heart-wrenching to know some mother is home crying her eyes out, someone’s whole family has to bury a child for absolutely nothing. And I up until just a few minutes ago thought that the murderer was convicted and I just found out he wasn’t even charged.”

When asked about the case Robin Thick responded:

“I think it’s a tragedy. I feel like I’m not smart enough to have anything brand new to say, but I think it’s absolutely terrible! My prayers go out to his family.”

A fake (but 100% true), Will Smith tweet swept the web saying:

“We live in a world where the girl that threw flour on Kim Kardashian is arrested onsite. But the man who KILLED Trayvon Martin is still free”
